Eminem's 'Monster' duet with Rihanna reaches No. 1 song in U.S. From The Detroit News

Eminem is on top again: His duet with Rihanna, “The Monster,” is the new No. 1 song in America.
The “Marshall Mathers LP 2” track hits No. 1 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, Billboard’s editors announced Wednesday.

The track is a significant chart topper for both Eminem and Rihanna. The song marks Eminem’s fifth Hot 100 No. 1, tying him with Diddy and Ludacris as the rappers with the most No. 1 singles. It is also Rihanna’s 13th No. 1 entry, putting her at No. 3 on the list of artists with the most No. 1 songs, behind the Beatles (20) and Mariah Carey (18), and tying her with Michael Jackson.
It is Eminem’s first song to hit No. 1 since his 2010 smash “Love the Way You Lie,” which also featured Rihanna. That song spent seven weeks on top of the chart. Em’s other No. 1 hits were “Lose Yourself” (12 weeks in 2002-2003) “Crack a Bottle” (one week in 2009) and “Not Afraid” (one week in 2010).
Rihanna was in Metro Detroit last month filming a music video for “The Monster” with Eminem. The video is expected to premiere soon.
“The Monster” has sold more than 1.2 million downloads since its release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
“The Marshall Mathers LP 2” is No. 6 on this week’s Billboard Top 200 albums chart. The set has sold 1.4 million copies to date, according to SoundScan.
