Jonathan Declares 3 Days National Mourning for Mandela

  President Goodluck Jonathan  has declared three  days mourning for the late freedom fighter and former President of South Africa, Dr Nelson Mandela who died Thursday.


Jonathan made the declaration while in   Paris, France,   attending a  summit on peace and security in Africa.
During the three days  mourning,  flags   are to be flown at half mast in all the states of the country.


He  also called for special prayers  in churches and mosques throughout Nigeria.


World leaders have since  Thursday   paid tribute to the former South African leader for his selfless service for the liberation of his people and indeed  Africa.
