Wednesday 18 November 2015- ‘Award winning hip hop artist with no album’ is a
magnificent title that hip hop/ rap artist, Laylizzy acquired on the night of
the 31st of October 2015. Lay Low now Laylizzy had been nominated
for the 2015 Mozambique Music Awards in the past month and word was received on
set during the music video shoot for his latest single “Tha Crew”, that he
scooped the award for the Best Hip Hop Song for his previous hit single ‘Chapa’

Few
words from Laylizzy, “Receiving the news about me winning the award felt great,
it made me feel like a kid again. For me, if you win an award, it means you’ve
crossed the line of being a good artist, you’re now a great artist. As far as
my career, I’ve always looked at it in a serious light, nothing has changed. I
thank everyone that voted for me, I appreciate you and may God bless you all.”
Furthermore,
the music video was hyped up by artists, celebrities and Laylizzy’s crew from Mozambique
who came down to Johannesburg to support the next big star in Africa. The video
was shot in different locations around Johannesburg with a narrative of hard
working people in it and amazing performances by Laylizzy and his crew. Expect
great visuals of “Tha Crew” music video by Laylizzy by first week of December
2015.

Born on
October 28, 1988 and bred in the Portuguese speaking city of Maputo in
Mozambique, Laylizzy (real name Edson Abel Jeremias Tchamo) is a young
versatile rap artist, songwriter and Master in business laws signed under
Geobek Entertainment. He is ranked as one of the first few artists to bring in
the mixtape culture in Mozambique. His great work has so far been recognised by
successful publications such as hip hop blog, ‘Slikour on Life’ and SA’s
biggest hip hop magazine, HYPE Magazine.
