FDNY: 'Multiple injuries' in NYC train derailment

NEW YORK (AP) — A Metro-North passenger train derailed on a curved section of track in the Bronx on Sunday morning, throwing frightened passengers out of their seats and causing "multiple injuries," authorities said.

The derailment of the southbound Hudson Line train was reported at about 7:20 a.m. near the Spuyten Duyvil station, authorities said. The train left Poughkeepsie at 5:54 a.m. and was due to arrive at 7:43 a.m. at Grand Central Terminal.

This week, a long-term British survey found a fourfold increase over the past two decades in women reporting at least one sapphic fling. Self-reported same-sex behavior among men, however, has remained somewhat constant. Now "the proportion of women reporting sexual experience with same-sex partners ... exceeds that of men, at least at younger ages," says the survey. Neither this increase nor the gender difference can be explained by a change in sexual self-identity, according to the study.

Actor Paul Walker Dead At 40 After Car Crash

Paul Walker has died at the age of 40 after he was involved in a single-car accident and explosion in Santa Clarita, Calif. on Saturday afternoon, the actor's rep confirms to TMZ. 

The "Fast and the Furious" actor was reportedly in a Porsche with another person when the unidentified driver lost control and slammed the vehicle into a tree. The car burst into flames at the scene. Both were killed at the time.

"Sources close to Paul tell us he was in Santa Clarita for a car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort, and had been taking friends out for rides in his new Porsche GT," reports TMZ. "The accident happened during one of those test spins."

Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Willie Obiano has been declared winner of the disputed governorship election in Anambra State according to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria.
Professor Chukwuemeka Onukogu, the Resident Commissioner of INEC in Anambra state declared in Awka that Mr. Obiano won the election by polling   180,178 votes in 19 local government areas in the state.
 The total votes won by the APGA candidates constitutes 25% of the votes in at least 19 LGAs out of the 21 LGAs in the state.
The election results were declared after the completion of today's supplementary elections which was boycotted by major parties that earlier participated in the first ballot.
