Few days ago, popular gospel artiste and ‘Branama’ crooner, Kefee Obareki, better known as Kefee, was said to have collapsed while on a plane. She was reported to have just finished a show in the United States of America, USA, and the incident forced the plane to make an emergency landing.
But hours later, a tweet purportedly by the singer and wife of a Lagos-based radio presenter, Teddy Esosa Don Momoh, was posted on Twitter, thanking fans for their prayers.
Going by information reaching FOB Kefee is still in coma and calls have been made to well meaning Nigerians to pray for the quick recovery of Kefee from her unconscious state.
A friend of Kefee, Charles Granville, in a BlackBerry broadcast on Wednesday, urged Nigerians to pray for the singer. “Kefee is more than a colleague to me; she is a friend and a sister. I know we all love her and that is why I'm asking us to #PrayForKEFEE,” Charles wrote.
“You may have heard by now that she, Kefee, the ‘Branama’ queen, collapsed on a flight to Chicago after a performance. Fact is, she is still in coma,” he added.
“Wherever you are, all over the world, I need you to #PrayForKefee #KefeeMustWakeUp God will hear our prayers and wake her up. Remember her in all your prayers and have faith that God has done it. Pray any way you know how. #PrayForKEFEE,” Charles urged.
Meanwhile, the message has already drawn the sympathy of many Nigerians. Segun Arinze, a respected Nigerian actor, prayed that the entertainment industry will not lose Kefee to death.
Teddy Esosa is said to be in the US to see his wife.
