Heritage day is a South African public holiday celebrated on 24 September. This day is used by South Africans across the globe to celebrate their culture and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions.
Before 1995, 24 September was known in Kwazulu-Natal as Shaka day in commemoration of Zulu king, Shaka.
