THE KZN Youth Orchestra will be holding its second round of auditions for
new members for next year (2015) at the Durban Music on Saturday, 15 November
from 1.30pm.

The Youth Orchestra is made up of young musicians from all around KZN province.
The orchestra is looking for young players who are learning orchestral instruments. The commitment is to rehearse on Friday nights at the Durban Music school in Daikonia Ave
from 4pm to 6.30pm during school term time. Concerts are also arranged to take place
on Friday evenings.

Should any young musicians be interested in auditioning they need to be between the ages
of 12 and 23 , be grade 3 music level for the Shadow orchestra and grade 5 music level for
the main orchestra. Candidates must prepare two contrasting pieces and some scales.
They may play with or without an accompanist.
