EFF leader, Julius Malema is set to be a married man come 2015. The fire brand leader is apparently going to say 'I do' to his girlfriend, Mantwa Matlala this December.
Malema will wed Matlala, a woman who won his heart years ago, The Star reports.
The two are gearing up for their traditional wedding ceremony which is expected to take place in Malema's hometown of Seshego, Polokwane. A source confirmed to The Star that the wedding day will be a massive event with the local community already preparing for what is believed to be an extravagant affair.
"She is not in politics. Their relationship dates back to the time when she was at Capricorn High School. The wedding is likely to be on the weekend of December 27 and 28. It's certainly going to be after Christmas," a source told the newspaper.
While Malema and Matlala, who is an accountant and works in Johannesburg - would not be drawn into discussing their impending nuptials, Malema has confirmed he is in a serious relationship.
Malema was previously linked to Lizelle Tabane, who accompanied him to the wedding of Limpopo-based property tycoon David Mabilu in 2011. Malema has a son, Ratanang Malema who is about seven-years old.
The clearly smitten EFF leader told Metro FM host, Tbo Touch during a radio interview that his partner had changed him for the better. He added that he enjoyed spending time with her, watching shows like 'Our Perfect Wedding'.
“Now I watch it at home and have realised that it’s actually not that bad," he said.
