Preserving Dignity: Help women impacted by Boko Haram attacks

Boko Haram and the people impacted by the attacks are constantly topics in the news and on social media. Now you can do your part and help women and girls impacted by the crisis right in the District.
As of February 2015, the attacks by Boko Haram has resulted in the in the relocation of more than 100,000 Nigerian refugees and Nigerien returnees, according to IEDA Relief based out of Arlington, Va.

The humanitarian crisis started in April 2013 and has left families without basic toiletry items including toothbrushes, women's sanitary products and soap.
IEDA Relief, United2Heal, a George Mason University student led organization have come together and are trying to help women in the areas impacted by the crisis.
Here's where you come in: IEDA Relief and United2Health is trying to provide emergency aid to 172 women. The women will be provided with female hygiene kits, also known as "dignity kits."
