Why ex-President Jonathan should be thrown under the bus : The Sun

WHEN Ebele Jonathan happened on the presidency, there was jubilation all over the known world. This was a guy, a little guy that not even the devil gave a chance. He had the world all up and against him. He was not just a minority man, he was not even in the queue of the great men of the epoch, not even amongst his own minority peoples. But chance or fate conspired to throw him up, granting him perfunctory jobs, however, mighty the titles – deputy this, deputy that and deputy everything else. However, in the end Okonkwo threw the cat and Jonathan a toeless, even sole-less kid washed up the president of Nigeria. It is a Nigeria whose oriki or praise name, false or forged, is: Africa’s greatest country. Ahiazuwa.

Well, we jubilated too. Our jubilation had nothing to do with the alleged competence or incompetence of Jonathan. For us, it was actually about the turn of things. It just happened that it was his turn, the turn of the southern minorities to cut through the fallen elephant, Nigeria, and cleave out their own meat, ivory, entrails and all. Now despite the disguise of butchers in the guise of nationalists, wolves in sheep’s clothing, coup makers, politicians, godogodos and all, Nigeria is a game, at least since Nzeogwu- Gowon template came to become. Nigeria is a fallen beast, compatriots where are your knives, that alone is the very logic of every single coup.
But above all also, we celebrated Jonathan’s presidency for one not too obvious reason. And we can recall that in a discussion with a friend we postulated that Jonathan’s, is the first time – and it was a freak of planned nature of Nigeria – that a minority man, a southern minority man, will lay his hands on Nigeria’s whole and entire body of national secret information, the minutes of the last meetings. And that was the near equivalent of holding a nuclear bomb. That is a southern minority, a Jonathan, for the first time since the civil war has complete access to the whole of Nigeria’s classified and unclassified information, the brazen murders and even more brazen loot since Gowon. That was the real game and gain of his presidency. It amounted to a coup against the intricate plans, wishes and desires of the internal colonizers. In fact we postulated that it was this access to the rot of and that is Nigeria that these internal colonizers, the G2, the Awo-Gowonic Nigerians are up against. This was especially so for the Vizier-President who hails from Owu. They, these G2 Gangsters, never, repeat, never, attempted to or even bothered about managing Nigeria well. Nigeria was essential a fallen booty, their war booty. And the secret of this was to be exclusively shared out between Awo and Gowonic wing of the Nigeria G2 Security Council. And it is this fact of their exclusive insider knowledge, that drives them to falsely exonerate themselves while accusing and or insinuating this other guy is corrupt, is a crook. Yet even the very fact of being a coup maker is the worst corruption. A guy or his gang who can steal or hijack state power, what else won’t he steal or hijack, the Central Bank? But that is another matter.
So, the point is that Jonathan had a rare privilege due to only presidents and commander in chiefs. It was the privilege of acquiring the nuclear option as they say in hardball or war games. And that option is in his keeping Xerox and certified true copies of all, repeat, all classified information on all Nigeria and Nigerians, especially those who may want to be wise after the fact. To make sure double sure, Jonathan should have had his personal copies squirreled into safety for him in secret Tel Aviv, Washington and London strongholds. That gives him the immunity of MADness and the insurance that is superior to odaeshi. If however, for any reasons known and unknown this same Mr. Jonathan failed to acquire the nuclear option and the readiness to exercise it, we do hereby solemnly hold as follows: that the man who is known and trades under the name of Dr. ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan should be thrown under the bus, the moving bus, under the guise of one inquiry or the other. It is only fair, after all he claimed he is willing and ready to die for Nigeria. Here then is his golden chance, and he might as well do it under the moving bus.
And there shouldn’t be too much morality in these things. Nigeria it is on record had lost about US$400 billion prior to governance under the watch of Mr. Jonathan. Definitely as things go, it is almost certain that governance under the watch of the said Mr. Jonathan must have added to the tally, numbers and loot. Or has Nigeria ever ceased to be a robbery scene where the anti-crime rangers join in the heist, if only to help themselves and the devil. It is a self-serving even if absurd form of the Stockholm syndrome.
So, who stole the US$400 billion before the presidency of Jonathan happened upon us, who done it? Thus, it makes elegant sense that if Jonathan acquired the nuclear option he should exercise it immediately and let the old and earlier thieves, their sponsors and the rest of the known world know, ‘’that I have a list of addresses and can hear the voices of the dead,’’ as Osip Mandelstam, a Russian poet, cried out. That is the only way we know he can secure not just himself but also the ‘ancient rights and privileges’ of the southern minorities. Ahiazuwa. It is an aspect of a game called the Poet’s Revenge. It so sweet, it saves all, without breaking much, if any sweat. A threat and the readiness to exercise the nuclear option is not its actual exercise. But you must be MAD enough to want to exercise it to be believed and your interests, spheres of influences tallied in and respected. After all the best of us are penitent robbers, so how can one so late in history call up on the lore of morality, whose morality. Like Dimka said, Nigerians, we are in it together.
Well, if in the end Jonathan fails, broken like Okonkwo of Things Fall Apart, when back from exile, the fault is entirely his. It is like the tragedy of the man who has a blunderbuss but fell to the man who had a fine riffle shot. Nigeria we repeat is a game. Nigeria we repeat is not a mission. If you bothered to check, the whole tribe of people, not excepting one, who are promoting Nigeria as a mission are in it as a game. Their purpose is to deceive even the very elect. Whether it is at hill top mansions or valley deep palaces these faces and characters are worse than assassins. Your greatest unmaking is to purpose to assay or retain them as personal details. If Christ was to be a round and about he has a name, an oriki for them. It is “wolves in sheep clothing’’. So, if Jonathan is their game, so be it. Let him go under the train, its iron may in the end prove more merciful than the body of a moving bus. Ahiazuwa.
Citizens go on live to rule (2)
IF it were not for Africa, for the black man, one shouldn’t have bothered for Nigeria. Nigeria, perhaps without intending it is almost lost. The big question is why is it that there is no black man’s country that is up to shit? And what is the source of the problem? It is their signal inability to build a consensus. And in a large and important measure this is led and driven by pure ignorance. Somehow, Nigerians or the black man has never come psychologically clean. And to come psychologically clean, that is the basis of all modernity.
Sometimes, you wonder how can persons so architect an imperium that others are excluded and at the same time they ask that the excluded to be patriots, to be nationalists. And how can one nation in the fiercely competitive environments of nations against nations, not have her nation-state and homestead in harmony and yet wish to be any survive not to speak of flourish? Has a kingdom divided against itself ever made progress?
Now the people we blame are not really the political operators. Politicians are famous worldwide for their blocked cognition. In fact to acquire and or want to acquire power is to be a blockhead. Power is anti-cognition. And development is only in the advancement of cognitions, of acquiring and acquisitions of new knowledge. Why nature made it this way should not detain us a moment here. But one thing is clear, development happens only in jurisdictions where scholars come to knowledge that they are the truer legislators, even unacknowledged, of their peoples.
Thus is no nations have gone beyond the outmost reaches of the bookshelves of her scholars, the bookshelves of the wise. That is if America and Americans have gone to the moon, it is by the leave of the Library of Congress, not the White House. And if the British made the Maxim gun and overran the known world, it was by the leave of the British museum, not the throne of Queen John Bull or King XYZ.
To speak finally on this matter, there is nowhere this present unjust Nigeria and system are going. If you wagered against you are already lost. The point is, it has already collapsed. In fact if you listened well, the footsteps of those who took Ananias to bury can be heard in Abuja. Just listen well. And Ananias is a metaphor of Nigeria as made in Gowonism. So it becomes the duty of scholars to shout and foresee that future that shall condemn all and help steer the wheels of fate otherwise. Ahiazuwa.
