Speculations is high that the big boss is on his way to coach Bafana Bafana. Do you share Keshi's view or you want him to stay with the Eagles and continue the good work. Read Yobo and Enyeama view after cut...
Super Eagles Captain Joseph Yobo announced his retirement from the Eagles yesterday after the 2-1 loss to France in Brazil. He has decided to focus on club football and his family. We wish him well
"It was a bitter-sweet moment for me but I think it is time to focus on my family. It has been a long road. I never thought that I’d be here because I missed the last six games of the season through injury. They gave me an opportunity but it is unfortunate what happened. I gave my all,” he said.
Enyeama had been tipped to become the new captain of Nigeria after Joseph Yobo retired from international football, but the 31-year-old is contemplating his next step.
“It is a big honour to wear the [captain’s] armband for the national team,” Enyeama told SuperSport.
“But at some point you need to say, ‘okay I take some years off, maybe I take some months off, maybe I call it quits’. I will sit down with my wife and decide what to do next.
“Maybe it was my last game."
