Hope for Borno: Local women collect items for displaced persons in Borno State, Nigeria

Hope for Borno distributes needed items to thousands of internally displaced persons at IDP camps in the state of Borno in Nigeria.


Through the kindness and generosity of the community, school supplies (nearly 1,000 pencils along with bags full of crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, markers and erasers), personal care items (111 packages of maxi pads which added up to nearly 4,000 pads, 7 boxes/nearly 700 pantiliners, 8 boxes/nearly 400 tampons), undergarments (35 packs/275 pairs for girls, 57 packs/375 pairs for women) and 30 bottles of prenatal vitamins will be sent.

Ikotidem has dedicated her life to serving the people of her native country and is still collecting items (please see attached information on the Pencils of Hope campaign)
