With the Stark family’s numbers dwindling even further towards the end of Game of Thrones Season 3, we can’t help but wonder what’s going to happen to the remaining living Starks. What kind of challenges await Bran, Arya, and Sansa inSeason 4? Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran), Maisie Williams (Arya), and Sophie Turner (Sansa) recently teased what we can expect for the newly-minted orphans in Season 4.
Access Hollywood caught up with the youngest Stark kids on the red carpet at the SAG Awards, and they each had a bit to say about their characters.
Isaac revealed that, “Bran is sort of exploring a sort of mystical element to his storyline, and trees are quite heavily involved.” Sounds pretty cryptic to us, but remember that Starks pray to the Old Gods at Weirwood trees, so maybe Bran gains some new powers from them next season. After all, the Red God seems to have given Melisandre some powers...
Of Arya’s journey with the Hound, Maisie said, “Arya kind of finds a small place in the Hound’s heart, like she actually kinda likes him ... they’ve got this uneasy relationship, yeah she’s safe, I think, for now.” Yeah, Arya’s safe! We don’t know what we’d do if something happened to her.
Finally, Sophie was asked about the fate of her unwilling husband, Tyrion, who in the trailer is seen sporting handcuffs. Having been sworn to secrecy, she turned to humor in her response, stating, “I think it’s just a nice little bracelet he’s got going on, it’s a nice accessory.” Sophie also says of Season 4, “I think it’s the best season yet, I think it’s honestly going to be amazing.” Gah! Would April hurry up and get here already?!
