The United State Ambassador to Nigeria, James F. Entwistle in an interactive session with journalists at the American University of Nigeria in Yola, Adamawa State disclosed that the reasons behind the refusal of the US government to sell arms to Nigeria were based on the Nigerian military massive human rights abuses in the war against terrorism.
The ambassador went further that the United States has been training the Nigerian military in the areas of information management and war tactics and that the United States was not undermining Nigeria's fight against boko haram a group that he said is getting stronger due to political undertone and internal sabotage by the people of Nigeria.
