Big Nuz cancel Harare tour amid threats of violence from Zimbabweans

According to state-owned newspaper The Herald, the group was set to perform in Zimbabwe on Friday but have been receiving threats of a boycott and violence from Zimbabwean nationals – as reported by Times LIVE on Thursday.

Big Nuz is the latest South African group to receive threatening messages on social media. This past week, Cassper Nyovest revealed that his life was also threatened ahead of his Zim tour on 25 April.
These threats come in the wake of ongoing xenophobic attacks in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, which have claimed the lives of at least five foreign nationals over the past two weeks.
Other South Africa artists Winnie Khumalo and Ringo Madlingozi have also joined the list of local musicians to receive threats ahead of the Green Concert in Harare on 15 May.
