According to City Press, Lupita will early next month shoot parts of her Disney film “Queen of Katwe” on location in Johannesburg.
Production on the film which also stars Nigerian-born actor David Oyelowo has begun in the Ugandan capital, Kampala.

The paper also states that details on Lupita’s stay in Mzansi are very under wraps as local producers have signed a confidentiality agreement to remain mum.
Furthermore, some local up-and-coming actors are said to be involved in the future blockbuster, including former “Generations” actress and “Ashes to Ashes” star Maggie Benedict.

The aforementioned movie tells the story of Phiona Mutesi, who emerged out of a slum in Uganda to reach the World Chess Olympiad with the help and belief of her coach-mentor Robert Katende (played by David). Lupita will portray Harriet Mutesi, Phiona’s young mother.
Lupita will next appear in the anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, out later this year.
