According to the Doctors Without Borders charity the west African Ebola outbreak is "out of control" and there are fears that "it can only get worse". More pics after cut...
The outbreak is currently spreading through Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone.
The medical charity has warned that the disease could also spread to other continents.
Doctors Without Borders also warned that there is currently no comprehensive strategy for dealing with this outbreak of the disease.
Fears of the disease spreading have risen after Patrick Sawyer, pictured, died in Nigeria last week.
It is thought that the disease has a mortality rate of anywhere between 50 to 90 per cent.
Two Peace Corps volunteers are currently under observation and in isolation after being in contact with a person who later died of the disease.
