The MTV Music Awards took place in Johannesburg last night.
Nigeria scooped the event’s most coveted awards, including Whizkid for best male and Yemi Alade for best female artists of 2016.
A Nigerian also won the Best Breakthrough Artist, Song of the Year and Best Artist categories.
South Africa's Hugh Masekela walked away with the Legend Award.
Hip Hop star, Casper Nyovest, took the honours for Best Live Performance and Olympic track star Caster Semenya, won Personality of the year. More pics after cut....
