Honeymoon slaying suspect arrives in South Africa

A British man accused of arranging the slaying of his wife on their honeymoon has arrived under escort in South Africa after his extradition from Britain.

The South African justice ministry said Tuesday that Shrien Dewani landed in a chartered plane in Cape Town and was taken into police custody. He is expected to appear in court later in the day.

Dewani had spent years fighting extradition over the killing of his 28-year-old bride Anni. She was found shot dead in an abandoned taxi in Cape Town's Gugulethu township in November 2010.

Dewani is accused of hiring men to kill his wife and make it look like a botched carjacking. Three men, including the cab's driver and a gunman, have been convicted for the murder. Dewani denies wrongdoing.

The eternal question of whether penis size matters to women has been probed by a team of international scientists who reported on Monday that yes, ladies do find larger men more attractive.

What's more, prehistoric women who could see the sex organs of their scantily clad male counterparts may have helped influence the evolution of larger genitals in men by choosing to mate with partners who were bigger.

Researchers said they decided to tackle the topic because past studies had offered conflicting answers, and may have been sullied by asking the women too directly.

"Since penis size is a sensitive subject, it's hard to determine whether females lied or 'self-deceived' in their responses," lead author Brian Mautz, a postdoctoral researcher in evolution and sexual selection at the University of Ottawa, told AFP via email.

‘Skelewu’ crooner David Adeleke aka Davido, has made successful plans to take on the armour of acting in Nollywood.

The artiste, who is to work under veteran Nollywood director Teco Benson, is delighted to have a feel of the acting industry.

According to reports making the rounds, Davido we learnt got the movie role courtesy his cousin, Ikechukwu Ojeogwu, an actor cum producer.

“This is Davido’s first movie appearance, I, as the producer, have been able to work out things in such a manner that it would be beneficial to us all. I’ve crafted out a role that I know would put him in a comfortable position and won’t make him either excessive or otherwise.”

Ikechukwu added that the script has been done in such a way that he (Davido), doesn’t over shadow the beauty of the script but to add his weight to the success of the project.

Uganda cops raid US AIDS project for helping gays

Ugandan police raided the offices of a United States-funded project known to offer AIDS services to homosexuals, a government spokesman said.

The Makerere University Walter Reed Project building in the Ugandan capital of Kampala was targeted for "training youths in homosexuality, spokesman Ofwono Opondo said on Twitter Friday. He offered no further details but said a "top diplomat" was said to be involved in the project.

Frank Mugisha, a gay leader in Uganda, said a Ugandan who worked for the project had been arrested and interrogated by police on Thursday. The project -a nonprofit partnership between a Ugandan university and the U.S. Military HIV Research Program - was known to offer services to gays who suffer from AIDS, he said.

The soldiers stormed the Fulani settlements about a kilometre away from Keana Town in the early hours of today Thursday March 3rd in a convoy, and allegedly shot at every Fulani in sight.

In February, Okah and other inmates, including Sunday rapist Jaco Steyn, attempted to escape from Leeuwkop Prison in Midrand. Okah was then moved to New Lock Prison in Pretoria and again hatched another plan to escape with other prisoners.
