R150 000 reward for Senzo Meyiwa's killers

The South African Police Service (SAPS) and Crime Line has appealed to the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the capture of Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa's killers.

Meyiwa was shot and killed during a robbery at a house in Vosloorus on Gauteng's East Rand.
"Someone, somewhere, somehow knows who these suspects are. Do the right thing and let us now where police can find them," said Head of Crime Line, Yusuf Abramjee.
"The latest incident once again shows that crime doesn't discriminate and that the impunity of criminals threaten us all. Meyiwa's death is a national tragedy and all we can do know is seek justice. If you see something, say something."
The SAPS is also offering a R150 000 reward for information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.

The public can send information to 32211 (SMS costs R1), call Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or submit a tip-off online at www.crimeline.co.za.
To qualify for the reward, tipsters need to volunteer their contact details to the Crime Stop call centre or by including it in the body of the text or web form.

Crime Line passed on condolences to the family, friends and soccer fraternity for the loss.
"This is an incredible loss to South African sport. The nation is in mourning and still reeling from Meyiwa's untimely death at the hands of crime. This is sadly the reality that many South Africans face - the constant fear of falling victim to crime. We have to do everything in our power to send a message to criminals that their days are numbered," Abramjee added.
