"East Africa's Queen of Comedy" Anne Kansiime Kubiryaba popularly known as Anne Kansiime will be performing in SA soon.
The well known and loved Ugandan entertainer will be in the country for the launch of this year’s StarQt Awards.
The awards are held annually to celebrate Ugandan fashion gurus, stylists, artists, entrepreneurs, leaders, models, businesses, sports men, expatriates and their impact on particular Communities.
The launch event will take place on Saturday 30th May at the Johannesburg City Hall; while the award ceremony will be held at the same venue on Saturday, the 5th of September.
“In Last year’s awards, we only recognized the outstanding Ugandans based here but this time round, we have chosen to also include our fellow outstanding Africans; from all over the continent in a bid to appreciate their exceptional contribution towards making life better in this country,” says SA based Ugandan fashion designer and lead organiser of the awards; Stella Nankya.
For those who need a bit of ‘schooling’ Anne Kansiime is a comedienne who is known for her funny comedy skits which have earned her over 15 million views on YouTube.
She is also a stand up comedienne with numerous industry awards.
