David Beckham has been stocking up on vitamins while in the US.
The retired soccer star has moved with his family from California back to the UK, but recently spent hundreds of dollars on health foods for the winter at Earth Bar in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ''He spent over an hour there. He bought boxes of goods, with names like Pomegranate Nutri Seed Power Flour, Ultra Greens powder and Marine Mineral Electrolytes. He also got juices including Total Greens, Cold Kicker, Master Detox and Citrus Cleanse.''
The health supplements will probably aid David in his training for the world's toughest triathlon - the Ironman event in the UK - which he is planning to compete in with his celebrity chef friend, Gordon Ramsay, next July.
The gruelling event features a 112 mile cycle ride, 2.4 mile swim and a 26.2 mile run.
A source said: ''He misses competing since retiring from soccer so it didn't take long for Gordon to convince him to do it.
''They've been getting up at 4am to train on the beach.''
Gordon, 46, has also been on a health kick in preparation for the triathlon, losing 28lbs by following a strict diet including vegan shakes, almond milk and lots of fresh vegetables, as well as working out three or four times a week.
