Four French hostages freed in Niger

French president Francois Hollande, has announced that the four French hostages who were kidnapped in Niger in 2010 have been released.
According to the BBC, Hollande said France's foreign and defence ministers had already left for Niger and the hostages who were apparently freed without assault or ransom were due home soon.

This comes after the men were seized by the al-Qaeda Islamic Maghreb group (AQIM) on 16 September 2012 during raids targeting two uranium mine French companies near Arlit.
The four men were identified as Thierry Dol, Daniel Larribe, Pierre Legrand and Marc Feret.
Hollande said, "I have some good news. I just learned from Niger's president that our four hostages in the Sahel, the Arlit hostages, have been released. I want to express all my gratitude to the president of Niger who obtained the release of our compatriots."
