“Stop Dreaming, Start Acting”! Ijeoma Nwaogu, 9 Year-Old Author of “The Lost Girl” Speaks Exclusively to GreenBiro on Following her Dreams

She wrote her first manuscript at the age of five and published her first book at the age of eight. With a bright, inquisitive nature and budding writing skills, the young author Ijeoma Benita Nwaoguis definitely one to be proud of.Ijeoma Nwaogu
A Primary Four pupil of SOS Hermann Gmeiner Primary School, Isolo, she developed her story-telling habit from an early age due to her fascination with bedtime stories. Her flare for writing was enhanced by her imaginative nature and her ability to develop stories. Among her classmates, she is well known as a story teller.

At age five Ijeoma wrote her first manuscript ‘The Lost Girl’ which contents she continued to develop until 2012 when the process of publishing “The Lost Girl” commenced. Ijeoma published “The Lost Girl” at the age of eight but officially launched her book two weeks after her ninth birthday on July 17, 2013. She has written three other story manuscripts and some poems which are yet to be published.
For her achievement, she has won several prizes and appeared on TV shows including theChannels TV Book Club where she spoke about writing a book at a young age. Today, Ijeoma shares her inspiring story with us at GreenBiro.
