Lamar Odom’s impressive efforts to rehabilitate his mind and body after a disturbing drug relapse and multiple alleged affairs may be enough to save his career, but sources say the damage he’s done to his marriage may be irreparable.
The troubled basketball star reportedly has a tentative offer from his former team, the Clippers, for the upcoming season, but once he’s back on the court, he’ll be out of his marriage for good, according to HollywoodLife.
A Kardashian insider claims that Khloe is planning to cut ties with her troubled hubby once he’s got his career back on track — and knowing that he will have incentive, like an NBA contract, not to relapse will be just the push she needs to end her marriage once and for all.
Khloe, who’s spoken openly about Lamar’s issues with depression on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has reportedly been too concerned about his well-being to leave him when his health is at risk.
“She’s still recovering herself from all the s—t Lamar put her through,” says the source. “Khloe will stay [married] long enough so that he’s healthy and back in the NBA and standing on his own two feet. After that, she’s going to cut the cord.”
While we don’t doubt that Khloe and Lamar have plenty to discuss before things are back to normal, it seems that Khloe has no problem leaving him to his own devices when he’s misbehaving, whether he’s being left out of family Christmas cards or being sent to live in motels, so we’re not entirely sure she’d stick around for a career uptick before filing for divorce.
